World Mental Health Day 2025: Supporting Wellbeing in the Workplace

Every year on October 10th, people worldwide come together to mark World Mental Health Day. First celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, the day is dedicated to raising awareness, promoting education, and challenging the stigma surrounding mental health.

Here at Aryza, we are proud to stand alongside organisations and individuals in recognising the importance of mental health, especially within the workplace. Across our global offices, our teams are taking part in activities to highlight the importance of supporting well-being and to encourage open conversations.

Why World Mental Health Day Matters

Poor mental health is not inevitable. World Mental Health Day provides us an opportunity to pause, reflect, and consider how we can contribute to a future where mental health is recognised, protected, and support is accessible for all.

This year’s themes emphasise three powerful messages:

  • Investing in mental health builds resilience
Investing in mental health support empowers individuals and fosters healthier, more resilient communities.
  • Protecting your mental health is a daily practice
Staying connected, being active, following healthy routines, and reaching out for support are simple but effective ways to prioritise wellbeing. In the workplace, this can mean making time for breaks, supporting colleagues, and encouraging a healthy work life balance.
  • Inclusive support leads to stronger communities

Accessible, stigma-free support must be available to everyone. Tackling barriers such as discrimination, stigma, costs, and access is essential if we want to create a truly inclusive approach.

Mental Health in the Workplace

The workplace plays a crucial role in shaping mental well-being. A supportive culture helps employees feel valued, respected, and understood, and this benefits not only individuals but organisations as a whole. When employees are mentally healthy, we see higher engagement, stronger collaboration, and greater resilience in the face of challenges.

At Aryza, we understand the importance of creating an environment where our people can thrive. We encourage everyone to take care of their own mental health, reach out if they need support, and to look out for each other. By promoting awareness, openness, and offering inclusive, practical support, we can all play a part in building healthier workplaces and stronger communities.

Let us continue working together to create an environment where mental health is recognised, protected, and supported.
