Aryza, alongside BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK and Experian, has been announced as a finalist in the Open Banking for Good category at the 2021 Open Banking Expo Awards.

The event, which takes place virtually on Thursday 15 July, during Fintech Week London, is designed to recognise the innovators, disruptors and visionaries who have been at the forefront of the Open Banking revolution.

Aryza, BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK and Experian will now face an expert judging panel from across the spectrum of the Open Banking ecosystem, before winners are decided in July.

Commenting on the awards, Colin Brown, CEO at Aryza said:

“Open Banking has the power to transform lives and businesses, and we are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Open Banking for Good Award alongside BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK and Experian.

“BNP Paribas Personal Finance chose to use Experian’s Open Banking service and Aryza’s Debtsense digital platform to provide round-the-clock online account reviews to customers who had been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Helping to ensure they could get the support they needed, when they needed it.

“The adoption of digital solutions has significantly accelerated over the past year and our technology has helped many consumers navigate the financial restructuring and recovery process. The Open Banking revolution is one of the most significant digital transformations the financial services sector has seen and the future is exciting.

“According to one report by PWC, 71 per cent of SMEs are expected to adopt Open Banking technology by 2022, as are 64 per cent of UK adults. It’s important that we as an industry continue to innovate and develop our market proposition, with a focus on offering a secure and intuitive user experience.”
